Universal Optical Amplifier

The deployment of optical amplifiers enables DWDM transmission over extended distances. The all-purpose amplifier Lambdaamp can operate as a booster as well as an intermediate line amplifier.

Lambdaamp is a broadband EDFA amplifier (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers) and can be used for the simultaneous, protocol transparent transmission of up to 80 DWDM wavelengths.
