PASSIVE WDM MULTIPLEXER

With our Lambdaway system you can transport multiple services inexpensively over a pair of fibre or even a single one. The multiplexer is fully transparent regarding protocols and applications (i.e. Ethernet or Fibre Channel).

The flexible Lambdaway WDM concept presents the ideal expansion of your current optical fibre infrastructure supporting a maximum of 80 connections over a single fibre and multiple transfer protocols and standards (ESCON, ATM, Fibre Channel, Gigabit or even 10Gigabit Ethernet) – to be transmitted simultaneously.

The Lambdaway product family offers a comprehensive suite of high performance WDM multiplexers: The CWDM series, the DWDM series, and a combination of these two series

The CWDM series is available with 2 to 18 channels. The optional base channel version provides an additional 1310 nm channel and is particularly suited for highly cost-efficient 10Gb/s transmission speeds, for example. An optional extension port makes the Lambdaway series cascadable and enables to build a modular passive infrastructure that can be tailored to your individual needs.

The DWDM series is available as 4 to 80 channel versions. As a space-saving feature, a hybrid combination of CWDM and DWDM technology integrates in a single chassis.

LAMBDAWAY ADD/DROP

Multi-site xWDM networks can be deployed reliably and cost-efficiently using add/drop modules. There is hardly any limitation as to the number and direction (East/West) of the wavelengths added or dropped.

Networks, for example, comprising two main sites and some smaller POP’s or networks with a bead-chain structure can easily be installed and operated. Please contact us. Flexibility is our strength.

  • Every enterprise and carrier with optical fibre infrastructure installed
  • Deployment of new applications over existing cabling
  • Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Video, etc. supported over a single fibre link
  • Cost-effective transmission of large data streams
  • Ideal solution for Metro Core, Metro Access and Enterprise Networks
